December Talking Meme Master List

(There are still some days left open in the meme, if you want to suggest a(nother) topic.)

Day 7 suggested by [personal profile] alasse_irena: A crossover you want to read that you've never seen...

An epic crossover of women from werewolf movies and tv shows, both women who are werewolves and women who are werewolf hunters. I'd love to see characters from Never Cry Werewolf, Ginger Snaps, Cursed, Dog Soldiers, Supernatural, BtVS/AtS, early Teen Wolf and on and on. Toss in characters from fandoms that don't have werewolves to make it an epic werewolf crossover AU: Gemma and Tara and Donna from Sons of Anarchy are werewolves. So are the women of the Fast and the Furious series. Danny from the Carmilla web series. The Blue Crush surfers. Basically, I just want all sorts of awesome women tossed into a story with monsters and magic, and boom. Crossover werewolf AU of my heart.

I never nearly wrote this one time, but it would take thousands and thousands of words, probably hundreds of thousands, and I just don't have the writing time to create an epic fanfic like that anymore.

So tell me, what are your favorite crossovers? I'd love recommendations. I read even if I don't know one (or all) of the fandoms.

(Between this and comments on yesterday's werewolf post, I'm going to do a follow-up post where I talk about specific werewolves in fiction. So excited.)

Dawn is my favorite BSC character, and she gets a lot of hate in the fandom, so when I saw pie_is_good's prompt requesting anything about Dawn (including a crossover with BtVS, which was one of the specific suggestions), I knew I wanted to write at least a short treat. I've always wondered at Oz's Aunt Maureen's calm reaction when Oz calls to see if Jordy's a werewolf, and still want to know more about what else might have come from that.

[livejournal.com profile] catalinay is the only one who guessed this was mine, which surprised me; not only is the title very much like another I've used, but Dawn + werewolves just screams me, or at least I think so.

Title: Cold is the Night
Author: escritoireazul
Characters/Pairings: Dawn Schafer/Stacey McGill, Mary Anne Spier/Logan Bruno
Author's Note: This is a transformative work of fiction set post-BSC and California Diaries; takes a lot of liberties with how werewolves work in BtVS and the BtVS timeline (which is fitting considering the timeline of the BSC).
Written for: pie_is_good as a Yuletide 2012 Treat.
Word count: 5000
Rating: all ages
Summary: Things are changing in Dawn's life, and she's not really sure what to make of it. (She runs and she runs, and the moon is so bright.)

Finally checking my email, and I want to thank whoever nominated Wolf Woman Wild for the SunnyD Awards. Wolf Woman Wild has been nominated for Best Crossover (Movie) (it is a crossover with The Fast and the Furious) and Best Crossover (Movie) Pairing for Faith/Letty/Oz.

Voting runs November 19 through December 19, if you'd like to vote for Wolf Woman Wild or any of the other awesome stories nominated.

Title: Another Confession to Make
Author: escritoireazul
Written for: [livejournal.com profile] carlyinrome who basically made my life complete by suggesting that Veruca and Lauren were cousins in a family through which lycanthropy ran. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mari_luvs_gcfa for introducing me to "Gorgeous Nightmare."
Spoilers: Set in the nebulous future of the next year in Glee, and informed a lot by "Silly Love Songs" but not a lot of specific spoilers, though one about things they will do at this year's Regionals. /vague It's very AU from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in a lot of ways, including how lycanthropy works. It is also pretty AU for future Glee, I'm sure.
Author's note: This is a transformative work of fiction for the television shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Glee. The summary and title comes from "Gorgeous Nightmare" by Escape the Fate. Apparently, Somewhere in Time is an actual Lima club. I make no claim to realism other than its name. It is amazing how often I want to use the title "wolf woman wild" which I have, of course, already used.
Word count: 3500
Rating: 13+

Soundtrack: Because how could this not have a soundtrack? Ignore the horrible videos, I wasted all my music time trying to track down a cover of "Hungry Like the Wolf" that sounded right. This one is not perfect but close.

A couple Shy (aka T.H.C.) songs from Buffy the Vampire Slayer
"Hungry Like the Wolf" by Hole (cover)
"Gorgeous Nightmare" by Escape the Fate

Summary: I've got another confession to make / So complicated let me try to explain.

Don't forget, my holiday love meme thread is here. Such wonderful things have been said already that I am going to print them out and paste them around my office.

Title: Family Morning
Author: escritoireazul
Written for: [livejournal.com profile] catalinay, who requested Fast and the Furious, family
Rating: 13+
Word Count: 600+
Author's Note: This is a transformative work of fiction set after the movie Fast and the Furious and the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It is a companion piece to "wolf woman wild", "Thirty-One Days of the Wolf", "Wolf Moon On the Rise", and "Upon the Midnight Clear", but the only things you really need to know from them are that Letty got bitten and is now a werewolf and she, Dom, Faith, and Oz have a tenuous not so tenuous, pretty serious foursome going on.
Author's Note, the Second: I am still taking requests: On LJ and on DW.

Written for: [livejournal.com profile] aea, who requested Lost Boys/Supernatural, fathers
Rating: 13+
Word Count: 1187
Author's Note: This is a transformative work of fiction set after the movie The Lost Boys and before the television show Supernatural. Setting has been tweaked so that the events of The Lost Boys took place a couple years before Sam Winchester went to Stanford.
Author's Note, the Second: This was written for Day 11 of the December Drabbles, but I then got distracted writing Yuletide and didn't post. Sorry!

Summary: You can swear all you like that you're nothing like them, but you're wrong.

Title: Wolf Moon on the Rise
Author: escritoireazul
Rating: 17+ for sex
Word Count: 1000+
Author's Note: This is a transformative work of fiction set after the tv series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and after the movie series the Fast and the Furious, specifically after the first few minutes of Fast & Furious. This is a companion piece to "wolf woman wild" and "Thirty-One Days of the Wolf", but the only things you really need to know from them are that Letty got bitten and is now a werewolf and she, Dom, Faith, and Oz have a tenuous foursome going on.

Summary: Some things are so goddamn hot Letty thinks they might kill her.

My brother recently talked about how much he enjoys Sons of Anarchy even though he doesn't watch much television. It made me smile and go like this \O/ even though he wasn't actually physically there to see it.

So I have this crazy Fast and the Furious/Sons of Anarchy/Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover in progress, focused on Mia, Letty, Faith, and Donna. Then I learned that Ryan Hurst, who plays Opie, was in Saving Private Ryan with Vin Diesel and the thought of Opie and Dominic Toretto melted my brain. UNF.

I have some free time, so I'm catching up on responding to comments (so if you receive a response to a comment you left months ago, I'm really sorry, I'm bad at replying in a timely manner) and on entries I said I would write.

This is a continuation of the Give Me A Title, I'll Tell You A Tale meme which went around awhile back. I'm still finishing titles from the second round I did. (I think I still have titles to do from the first round, but I'm working my way back to it.)

+ Give Me A Title, I'll Tell You A Tale Redux
+ "Mistakes We Knew We Were Making" [Blue Crush] and "House Meets His Match (Fire At the Tip and Burn On Down)" [House/BtVS]

Work? What the hell is up with being busy when I want to read people's thoughts about Supernatural? Yesterday, so slow I could have slept through it (and probably should have, obviously). Today? Busy, busy, busy.

I do have a couple of thoughts about the episode.

bad day

Oct. 20th, 2005 04:29 pm
escritoireazul: (oz prom)
I am having a bad day, most of which isn't worth talking about here, but some of which was exacerbated by problems ordering items from my main supplier. I ask for weatherstrip lubricant, she has no idea what it is--I finally pull it up, what's it called? Weatherstrip lubricant. Gah, people. You're supposed to know more than I do!

I have a sneaking suspicion there is an Oz/Bill/Gambit story waiting in my inbox, maybe two little ones. I am excited, but won't read it until after the gym. I myself have handwritten a little over two pages on one, and want to finish it before I read anything. I am feeling the love, though, feeling it baby.

Today felt like Friday when I woke up (from a dream about story plotting with Sarah, in person, which was nasty to wake up and realize she's back across an ocean again). It's almost over, thank god, and the real Friday should be fun. More fun, at least, but anything would.

Tomorrow night I think my brother-in-law, D., and I are going to have a cheesy horror/sci fi movie marathon with beer and either pizza or chinese. Depends on if we watch The Lost Boys or not. I plan to spend this weekend writing fanfic and catching up on emails I owe people.

Have just had triple chocolate birthday cake and laughter with the guys at work. Feel slightly better. Have less than half an hour of work, then gym, then a diet dr pepper and chicken for dinner.

AND THEN OZ/BILL/GAMBIT STORIES OH YES!
escritoireazul: (oz prom)
[livejournal.com profile] saturniia just broke me.

She suggested Bill/Gambit/Oz for further red-hair sex.

Um.

Uh.

Erm.

Yes. Please?

I am seeing a guitar and dragonhide leather and a game of poker and smoke everywhere. Jackets scattered haphazard, shirts, trousers, boots. Lots of boots, black leather boots, brown leather, thick fingers, full lips, that slow grin (three different, but oh so slow and sexy).

Okay. This has to be written. A lot.

I need an icon. Or, you know, 100. Woah.
