Damn, when did it get to be four a.m.? I've been sitting here, trying to drink enough water so I won't be hungover tomorrow (my tried and true anti-hangover habit, it's gotten me through many bottles of wine, gallons of margaritas, and several thousand shots), and suddenly it's four a.m.

Tomorrow, I fic. Woo. Tomorrow I fic a lot, and possibly go get a semi-healthy breakfast in a few short hours.

Tonight, there was tequila. Mucho tequila y quesadillas y hermanos. Happy birthday to my sister, K.

I am struck with the urge to both write fic and to read fic written for me. If you feel like writing a little something, leave a comment and I'll give you a prompt from, oh, either my Compact Oxford English Dictionary or my Concise Oxford Dictionary of Quotations. (The next nearest book is the Simon & Schuster Handbook for Writers [or Troyka, as we called it at university] and I doubt you want a prompt from it. Though, if you do, I'd be really impressed.)

I either need sleep, or mas tequila. Quiero mas tequila, pero no.

Wow it's been a long time since I drank anything more than a glass of wine or a couple beers. You would have semi-drunk posting, except I spent too long talking to J. and R. at their work (hanging out at the security monitoring place in the wee hours of the morning, do I know how to party or what?) and now I am completely sober as opposed to mostly sober.

Also, twenty-one-year-old boys apparently find me intimidating. Damn straight.

Today was fun (mostly shopping and lunch and Supernatural with my sister, K., the party was just so-so), but I am really looking forward to WisCon, and getting to be with the people with whom I'm comfortable (at least most of the time).

Okay, bedtime now.

So far today I have drank:

+ 16 ounces of water
+ 16 ounces of mate vana and peppermint tea (hot)
+ 16 ounces of caribbean breeze tea (iced)
+ 22 ounces of plain tea (iced) (Half of a 44 ounce I'm still drinking)
+ 12 ounces of diet Dr. Pepper

It's a thirsty day. Hungry day, too, I'm absolutely starving for protein.

Speaking of tea, have all you fans heard of Teavana? Back in November, when J., A., and I went holiday shopping, we discovered one of the stores in St. Louis, and fell in love with their flavors. Then, for Christmas, the boss bought the office their huge tea set, and I've fallen even more in love. All the teas I've drank today, except for the plain tea, is Teavana, and they are all delicious. I think some of you would really, really like it.

The mate vana and peppermint mix is one of my favorites, but I'm also fond of their azteca fire, which is a little like Mexican hot chocolate.

According to [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda in this post, there is some big thing where Peter S. Beagle is not getting paid for The Last Unicorn, or something. Really, go read her post, it's full of interesting links and that information. Anyway, my point is that she linked to Conlan Press which has permission from Lionsgate to sell the 25th anniversary edition of the movie and more than half of each sale goes directly to Beagle. I find that pretty cool, and I know some of you are probably interested in the new edition, so I thought I'd link.

Plus, if you purchase the version for $24.98, you get it signed in three places, which is even more cool.

In honor of the upcoming Dresden Files and Battlestar Galactica line-up on Sunday nights, I present you with this link: [livejournal.com profile] shiggysicons has a number of Dresden Files icons available.

From [livejournal.com profile] myln, Pinup girls made of letterforms. (Not work safe.) I probably should find those as hot as I do, but pinup girls! Letterforms! Together! As one!

From [livejournal.com profile] hermionesviolin, Vampire Vineyards. I'd like to try that wine.

Edited to add: The poster which really makes me want to see 300.

Wow. Usually storms build farther south on I-44 and head north past me and on to St. Louis, but today we had gorgeous, sunny, warm skies and the storms built on top of St. Louis and headed into Illinois. As strange as Missouri weather can be, that's unusual, and I hope everyone is okay. There are unconfirmed reports of at least one small tornado touching down.

I can very nicely float Baileys on Buttershots, I learned tonight. Beautiful combination.

Does anyone have any recommendations for wine racks? I'll need one when K. and I get a place this summer, and I'm looking for something in black metal and preferably with an unusual shape.

Laundry put away, cleaning done, and now it's time for dinner, a shower, and bed so I can go to the gym in the morning.

Okay, have run out of pink catawba (which I didn't expect to do tonight, I had quite a few bottles) and have moved on to Yellow Tail's shiraz. I like Yellow Tail, but this is nowhere near as good as the pink catawba. I'm really impressed with St. James' winery. Yum.

I spilled a glass of red wine down my shirt and jeans earlier while trying to set up my paid account. Fun.

Now J. is on the phone. This is like drunk dialing but better. He's at work overnight, and alone in the store. Fun.

Oh man, must stop with the wine. But it is so good.

In no way am I having a season four Buffy marathon (starting from "A New Man"), drinking wine (St. James Winery's Pink Catawba, which some of you know highlighted my last birthday, when I had it for the first time and realized how delicious and sweet it was), and playing slumber party games over at [livejournal.com profile] funslumberparty (which is really the best thing ever, it is more fun than I could have imagined, and you should come play).

Soon I might actually put away some of these new books and do productive stuff--but the slumber party is way more fun. Plus I am in oversharing mode, way way way oversharing mode. Which is funny, apparently, and that comment made me happy.
